Trying to feel things out here. I have been interested for a long time in getting a relaxed situation together as a bassist in a new band. I have been playing guitar and bass for many years but have not found a band or situation that is compatible with just playing together and learning material in a fun relaxed manner. I dont have a long list of standard songs learned on the bass,..and im not interested in standards either. I am not focused on immediately getting gigs and rushing things,...I would like to have a situation where we can get together and play and have some serious fun,..until we know some different songs together well enough to play out and do them well,...without worrying about immediate payoff. Im not expecting the world as a drummer moving to a new instrument but my time on drums has ended. My focus is to have fun and rebuild some inspiration and make something new,..and great. Hard rock, classic metal, even music like the 70's..soft rock 70's would be cool!!...but in a relaxed non hurried manner...after all it has to be good. Are there any situations out there for this??...I believe its a good time, post covid to take some time and make something cool, while doing something different..I am not interested in carrying or playing drums any longer in clubs, and im not interested in the same material thats been worn out here. I have lots of good gear and am looking for a change. Lets see whats out there. Thank you for reading!!!..and rock on!!
