I'm a jazz/funk/r&b/hip-hop guitarist that loves to play and experiment over anything in the pocket. I’m looking for a drummer that is steeped in jazz, funk, and hip hop and feels comfortable dropping into different rhythmic styles. I've done a fair amount of playing and gigging in my time, but am currently looking for something that’s more creative and open ended. I’m also working with a talented bass and sax player that would be in the fold as well. Some musicians I love in a similar style: Kamasi Washington, Julian Lage, Vulfpeck, Kutiman, Charlie Hunter, Butcher Brown, The Meters, Medeski, Martin, and Wood, John Scofield, Soulive, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk.
