Hey parents! Happy summer :) The past year and a half have been challenging to say the least, with COVID-19 and all things associated. School closings, working from home, virtual home schooling, hybrid classes, return to the school building, loss learning, recovery services, the stress and anxiety for both parents and students. I can help your elementary age child to regain and retain learning in math and reading/comprehension before the start of school in the fall. Who: Ages 6-12 in general education What: Tutoring in math and reading When: once weekly on the 1st or 3rd Tuesday of the month Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm or 6:30pm -7:30pm...only 4 more slots available Time frame: Tuesdays thru August 31, 2021 Where: Local library with private reading room(TBD) near your home or my home (non-COVID site, vaccinated) Who am I? I am a mother, a licensed social worker, a disabilities advocate, a financial coach and the list goes on. When my child was younger, I worked with her during summer months so that she did not lose any skills. She had a 4.0 GPA throughout school, was reading at a 3rd grade level in first grade, was doing algebra in 4th grade and reading on a college level in 6th grade. She was in AP classes in high school while playing varsity sports, was awarded an academic scholarship for college, and graduated from Undergrad and Grad school with honors. Did I mention that she earned her Master's degree at the age of 22 while working FT? I can't promise that your child will excel at the same level but I will put the same effort into tutoring your child.
