Anime and table top game shop is looking for new employees to join our team, or as we call it, our work family. We are a small family business located at the Lloyd Center Mall in Portland. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Cash handling (work the register) -- You'll process sales transactions and use your fandom knowledge to drive additional sales - Engage customers entering the store with a welcoming and helpful attitude - Keep up with daily restock (usually multiple times a shift) - Help keep the stock room organized and adjust inventory when necessary - Keep the store tidy, regularly sanitizing and wiping down glass cases - Any other activities as assigned WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Must be 18 or older to apply - Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment - Enthusiastic and Positive attitude under pressure - Basic communication, math, reading and writing skills - Ability to multi-task - Able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours, reach for Merchandise using a ladder, step-stool and pole. Must be able to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 lbs. - Able to work weekdays, "weekends", and sometimes holidays - Flexible with schedule - Time management skills - Self-motivated - Social perceptiveness - Knowledge of anime and pop-culture is strongly preferred, but not required *Background check and drug test required upon hire* This position has a 90 day probationary period. After 90 days (possibly sooner), willingness to travel for short events over night is preferred (drivers license would be required).
