Seeking: partner for RnB/Soul Duo

Description

Hi there! I am looking to form a soulful duo to play gigs around town. About me: I've worked both as a pro performing musician and as a music teacher on and off for over a decade. I am primarily a vocalist, and can play basics on guitar, keys, hand drums, and flute. I have a degree in music, know theory, and learn fast. Harmonizing comes easily. I'm 32. I'm currently in a gigging band, but would love to form a duo to get that intimate acoustic sound with great harmonies. Music is no longer my main career path, but I'd love to play some casual gigs around town. What I'm looking for: Most important, I want to play acoustic RnB/soul! And Jazz fusion. I'm seeking someone who can both sing and play a backing instrument (hand drums, guitar, whatever), and who is all about those soulful harmonies. Bonus if you can sing lead too so we can trade off. General lightheartedness about playing music is a plus! This project is not serious enough for the jaded high brow musicians out there. ;-) Practice: I'm not a perfectionist (as you'll see from my videos), but I value showing up to rehearsal prepared. I prefer all parties do the repetitive learning of stuff on their own, so that rehearsing can just be a fun ball of synergy and a quick tune-up before performing. Looking for musicians that are competent enough to hold their own and make on-the-spot changes as needed. If you're interested, tell me about yourself, and send me a sample of your music! Seriously, will only respond if you send me a sample. It's fine if you just record yourself with your phone.
