Work Available NOW - September! Location: 51607 Fish St. Nikiski, Alaska 99635 Starting Wage: $12.50/hr (with OT available) 12hr sifts during salmon season June - Sep. Number of hours per week to be determined by supervisor and seasonal work load. Alaska Omega Nutrition is a leading raw material supplier. The Nikiski plant is designed to process 100% of the anticipated byproduct from local, sustainable, marine harvests into nutraceutical grade oil, and dehydrated products rich in protein and other vital, natural nutrients. Current Suppliers include every major commercial seafood processor in Kenai and Kasilof. Job Purpose: Provide general labor support for seafood processing and plant maintenance. Position Responsibilities May Include (We will provide on-the-job training): Moving and staging seafood totes with a forklift Inspecting and grading seafood Loading and monitoring automated production equipment Washing totes Sanitizing equipment and plant (especially between shifts) Packaging labeling, and loading finished product Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age Must have valid proof of authorization to work in the United Stated, by completing and submitting form I-9 with the necessary documentation. Must be able to understand and speak basic English. Must be able to perform repetitive work, stand, bend, twist and constantly work with your hands. Must be able to work very long hours (up to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week) in cold, wet and humid conditions. Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and carry materials from one point to another. Must be able to work well in close proximity with others A good attitude at work!
