Join Downtown Lafayette for a Lunch & Learn as we discuss quality of life investments and its importance on our economic competitiveness. On the heels of the momentum from the Vibrant Community Summit with Quint Studer, DLU and DDA are hosting a lunch and learn to discuss the importance of quality-of-life assets as it relates to talent attraction and retention and growing Downtown Lafayette’s residential base. What is social and quality of life infrastructure? Cities have both physical (roads, bridges, utilities) and social infrastructure (museums, parks, schools, recreation centers). Social infrastructure targets more advanced human needs and can improve all aspects of quality of life, increase social comfort, and promote economic activity. What can attendees expect during this panel discussion? Learn what quality of life assets are and why public and private investment in them is critical for Lafayette’s economic competitiveness. Tickets are $20 per person, covering the cost of lunch. Limited seats available. Not a member? Click here to join today. Are you a member of DLU?
