The Play Museum, a free children's exhibit requires visitors to reserve a playdate session.
The Play Museum is a free children's exhibit at the Illinois State Museum-Springfield. It will open to the general public on June 17.
Guidelines have been put in place to keep visitors and staff safe. See below:
Advanced registration is required to access the Play Museum.The Play Museum will be open Thursday through Saturday with one-hour playdates available at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:45 p.m.Playdates are limited to a group of no more than ten individuals. The ratio of children to adults must be at least 5 to 1.All visitors must sanitize their hands upon entering and exiting the exhibit.All visitors age 2 and up must wear a mask over their face and nose while playing.Additional guidelines for the Museum can be found here: http://www.illinoisstatemuseum.org/content/ism-springfield-visitor-information.Some activities have been altered or removed for safety.Interactives and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned between groups.Should you have questions or want additional information, please do not hesitate to contact Kate Suits at [email protected] or (217) 782-5993.
