The Play Museum, a free children's exhibit requires visitors to reserve a playdate session. The Play Museum is a free children's exhibit at the Illinois State Museum-Springfield. It will open to the general public on June 17. Guidelines have been put in place to keep visitors and staff safe. See below: Advanced registration is required to access the Play Museum.The Play Museum will be open Thursday through Saturday with one-hour playdates available at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:45 p.m.Playdates are limited to a group of no more than ten individuals.
