We have classes for groups up to 8 in an hour, we have classes for individuals, and children starting at age 10 with a parent. Learn to make a horeshoe knife, horseshoe fish, wrench knife, railroad spike knifes, fire poker, steak turner, high carbon knife with a stabilize handle and a sheath, oyster shucker. Many more items to choose from. Hi, My name is Jason Brown, I have been blacksmithing for 14 years. I recieved a Welding for Artist Certificate from Blue Ridge College, and I have been on the Forged- in- Fire Show as a Finalist, Season 5 Episode 39. I have been teaching blacksmithing for 3 years. My daughter, Monique Brown, has been blacksmithing for 12 years, and she specializes in knife making, wood working and she is teaching woodworking and blacksmithing. Steve Revis is our new partner and he has been blacksmithing for 6 years. He specializes in ornamental iron work and knife making, and he will is holding blacksmith classes on Saturdays fom 10:00A.M. to 5:00P.M. We will have classes on Mondaya - Saturday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM, and our store hours are Monday- Saturday 10:00AM - 6:00PM, Sunday 12PM - 6PM. Jason Brown created the Thunderbird the Native Americans Ojibwe symbol (The bird said to create thunder by flapping its wings and lighting by flashing its eyes. Its the symbol of supernatural being of power and strenght for the Village Blacksmith Emblem. When you come to see us you will see pictures of the bird on the building and parking signs. Came to write his last story on Jason, Monique, and Steve, for the Village Blacksmiths in the Brevard, NC, area. Matt McGregor wrote the story on Jason when he finished Forged in Fire in Season 5, Espisode 39 in 2019. We were happy to have him visit and take a class with Jason to make his own horse shoe knife that looked like an old fashion razor.
