MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation. Emerson College awarded more than 950 undergraduate degrees and more than 470 graduate degrees for the Class of 2021 on May 2, at Fenway Park during its 141st commencement exercises, and virtually on May 9. The College also honored the Class of 2020 graduates in an additional ceremony at Fenway Park on May 2. Amanda Saunders received a BFA in Writing Lit and Publishing BFA. Clark University awarded 490 bachelor's degrees, 501 master's degrees, and 10 doctorates, and conferred three honorary degrees during the University's 117th Commencement ceremonies. Graduates were urged to ask the hard questions, drive change, and even occasionally stir some trouble. Among the graduates were: Veronica L. Rodgers graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Griffin O. Minigiello graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. More than 1,451 students were named to the Colleges of the Holy Cross spring 2021 Dean's List, including Marblehead students: Elizabeth Timmons, majoring in Economics and CIS-Architectural Studies. Caroline Driscoll, majoring in Psychology. Christopher Barone, majoring in History. Davis Walker, majoring in Economics. Bucknell University has released the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2020-21 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition. The following Marblehead students have achieved Dean's List status for spring 2021: Meagan Hathaway, class of 2022. Lydia Hybels, class of 2024. Grace O'Meara, class of 2024. Chloe Rieckelman, class of 2023. Daniel M. Grant graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western New England University with a BSBA in Sport Management. The undergraduate ceremony was held on May 15. More than 480 students received degrees. The University of Tampa honored 1,758 students who were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list. The following Marblehead students were named to the Dean's List: Griffin Kramer and Alexandra DiGiovanni. Olivia Rietti graduated from Ithaca College with a BS in Cinema & Photography. Ithaca College student Brian Felsenthal was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester. Muhlenberg College's 173rd Commencement celebrated the Class of 2021 in a pair of socially distanced ceremonies held in downtown Allentown. Marblehead graduates included: Sarah Krell, who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. Peter Lombara, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Krell, Lombara and Hannah Verdun all made the Muhlenberg Dean's List for the spring semester. Worcester Polytechnic Institute announced that Benjamin Twombly, a member of the class of 24 majoring in Aerospace Engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2021 semester. A total of 2,148 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2021 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade-point average. Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects. Austin Rose earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Rose was among approximately 4,435 undergraduate and graduate students who earned their degrees during the Spring 2021 semester and were recognized during the Institute's 260th Commencement exercises May 7-8, 2021, at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Plymouth State University said 911 students earned President's List honors for the Spring 2021 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the Spring 2021 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. The Marblehead students earning the distinction were: Alexandra Balunas, Hansen Hundahl, Jasmine Variam, Emmaline Smith, Kyle Lebowitz and Andrew Verrette. Alex Rosen was been named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the spring semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.
