RAPHEAD RESPONSE Red Carpet fundraiser w/ Jessica Care Moore, Emily Rogers, Spanky Hayes, DJ Mike "Agent X" Clark, Gabe Gonzilla, & Cyntcere On Friday, July 23, 2021, international and local artists will pool their talents to help raise money for a project that aims to tell stories about the lack of emergency medical services and long response time in underserved Detroit neighborhoods. The dark comedy television concept is entitled Raphead Response, the brainchild of two native Detroiters, actor Robert “7” Shannon (JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH, EMPEROR) and the late screenwriter/producer Dwight Patillo (CORNERSTORE). Madisun Leigh (ERACED, PLAYED), also a native of Detroit and former personality on Smooth Jazz V98.7 FM, serves as producer/writer along with screenwriter Courtney Gay Wilson (ERACED, BRONZE), also born and raised in Detroit. The lineup for the benefit includes poet Jessica Care Moore, musician Emily Rogers, comedian Spanky Hayes, DJ Mike “Agent X” Clark, musician Gabe Gonzilla, and poet Cyntcere. The evening’s festivities will kick off at TV Lounge located at 2458 Grand River Avenue, Detroit, MI. The red carpet starts at 4:30 PM. The event is from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. General admission is $25.00. VIP admission is $50.00 (guaranteed seat and meet & greet with the Raphead Response producing and writing team).
