BEVERLY, MA — These Beverly students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation. Amy McCaffrey was named to Adelphi University's spring 2021 Dean's List. McCaffrey was among a select group of outstanding students recognized by Adelphi's deans of Arts and Sciences, Education and Health Science, Business, Nursing and Public Health, Social Work and Psychology for superior academic performance. The list comprises full-time students registered for 12 or more credits who have completed at least nine graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester. This recognition becomes part of the student's academic record and is entered into the individual's transcript. Chrisstopher Morse was named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the spring 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List at Hamilton, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above. Morse, a rising sophomore, is a graduate of Phillips Academy. Kyle James Coughlin received a degree from Clark University during the University's 117th Commencement exercises on June 12 and June 13. Coughlin graduated with a Master of Business Administration. The University of Utah wishes to congratulate Jessie Smith, of Beverly, who was among the 8,442 graduates honored during the 152nd general commencement ceremony on May 6. Smith's degree is listed as Doctor of Medicine. The following Beverly students received Dean's List honors at Wheaton College: Savannah Panjwani and Conor Whalen. Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5-grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale. Emerson College awarded more than 950 undergraduate degrees and more than 470 graduate degrees for the Class of 2021 on May 2 at Fenway Park during its 141st commencement exercises, and virtually on May 9. The College also honored the Class of 2020 graduates in an additional ceremony at Fenway Park on May 2. Emily Whalen, of Beverly, received a BFA in Theatre and Performance. The requirement to make Dean's List is a grade-point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester. The following Beverly students have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester: Katherine Doherty — Writing, Lit and Publishing, Class of 2023 Audrey Jaber — Journalism, Class of 2022 Ryan Jackson — Public Relations, Class of 2022 Zehava Younger — Musical Theatre, Class of 2022 Western New England University's undergraduate commencement was held on May 15. Over 480 students received degrees. The top five fields of study for undergraduates in 2021 were Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy Studies, Accounting, Criminal Justice, and Psychology. Lauryn Luvanda, of Beverly, graduated with a BS in Health Sciences. Kyle Champlain, of Beverly, graduated with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering. Molly Cecil, of Beverly, received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Clark University commencement exercises on May 23. Edward Crowley, of Beverly, graduated from Ithaca College with a BM in Music Composition. Taylor Tattan, of Beverly, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College for studies completed in 2021. Springfield College concluded its 2021 Commencement Weekend ceremonies with eight separate in-person ceremonies at Stagg Field on the Springfield College main campus, four on May 15 and four on May 16. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects. The following undergraduates from Beverly were named to the Spring 2021 Dean's List: Dennis Leary, class of 21 majoring in Mechanical Engineering Julia Noel, class of 21 majoring in Chemistry Kayla Fabry, class of 22 majoring in Mathematical Sciences Kaitlyn Pothier, class of 22 majoring in Mechanical Engineering The following Beverly students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the spring 2021 semester: Jessica Silvagni for earning Honors Sophia Curreri for earning Honors Jessica Theriault for earning High Honors Ian Alpine for earning Highest Honors Amanda Rosenberg for earning Highest Honors Natalie Eberhardt for earning Highest Honors Grace Bell for earning Highest Honors Thomas Leighton for earning Highest Honors Alexa Grant for earning High Honors Cassandra Jones for earning Highest Honors John Jones for earning High Honors Michael Burgess for earning High Honors Devan Reeves for earning High Honors Louis Preston for earning Highest Honors Duncan Moreland for earning Honors Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors. Clark Marchand, of Beverly, has been named to the American International College Dean's List for spring semester 2021. Dean's List students are full-time students who have achieved a 3.3 to 4.0 GPA. AIC commends the accomplishments the Dean's List scholars for their efforts during an unprecedented year. Hannah Robledo, of Beverly, was inducted into Pi Lambda Theta (PLT), one of the nation's most prestigious education honor societies at Curry College. Founded in 1910, Pi Lambda Theta has a mission to honor outstanding educators and inspire their leadership on critical education issues. The most selective society of its kind, PLT extends membership to students and professionals who satisfy academic eligibility requirements and have demonstrated characteristics of scholarship, leadership, and service. In order to qualify for Pi Lambda Theta at Curry College, a student must be an Education major who has earned at least 60 credits with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Inducted students have exceeded the stringent criteria set by the honors society and demonstrate promise in the field of education. Colton Petrosino, of Beverly, was named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the spring semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Petrosino is a Finance major at Plymouth State. College of the Holy Cross congratulates more than 1,451 students who were named to the Spring 2021 Dean's List, which included Joseph Martin, majoring in History, and Lillian Connors, undeclared.
