DALE CITY, VA — Another week, another 7-Eleven robbery in Dale City. On Friday morning, a 7-Eleven on Dale Boulevard was robbed at gunpoint, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities responded to the robbery at 3:20 a.m. on Friday, July 16. Officials said the robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven at 4804 Dale Boulevard, across the street from Beville Middle School. Two employees told police that that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. Then, he pulled out a gun and demanded money, according to the police report. During the incident, the robber fired a shot into a nearby display case, police said. He then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported, according to the police department. The robber was last seen running towards Delaney Road. Authorities described the robber as a man of unknown race. He is about five feet, six inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing dark-colored clothing. A police K-9 was called to the scene to search the area, but they were unable to locate the suspect. In their report, the police department said Friday's robbery bore a resemblance to a previous robbery on Fraley Boulevard in Dumfries earlier this month. During that encounter, the robber also fired a round into a display case. Authorities have not said what led the robbers to shoot the display cases during the 7-Eleven robberies on July 5 and July 15. Other 7-Elevens throughout Dale City have also been robbed at gunpoint in the past month. Convenience stores on Cloverdale Road, Minnieville Road, and Darbydale Avenue.
