Local Midland, NC company needs to fill material handler position. Assist with the safe and accurate handling of granite, quartz and hard surface materials from the stone manufacturing plant to multiple locations. In addition, you will be assisting other staff members with other miscellaneous tasks. 1st Shift (7 am - 4 pm) - $16 - $18 / hr based on experience Responsibilities: -- Understands and follows all standard operating and safety procedures -- Loading and unloading materials from company fleet vehicles safely and securely -- Delivering materials in company fleet vehicles -- Drive company fleet vehicles making prompt on-schedule deliveries and pick-ups -- Providing superior customer service -- Operates lift truck or forklift as necessary. Perform lift truck safety check to ensure proper lift equipment operation. -- Complete various duties including: pushing racks and/or frames by hand, operating stretch wrap machinery, daily housekeeping, etc. -- Proper communication and documentation -- Providing warehouse support as needed -- Learns other production jobs in order to fill temporary vacancies of regular workers during vacation, off days, etc. Qualifications: --Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
