By Steve Burger, WNIN July 16, 2021 Starting in August, you'll be able to get a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination at USI's vaccine clinic. In a release, USI officials say anyone who is eligible for the Pfizer vaccine can go online at get an appointment at the State of Indiana Vaccination Appointment Portal. Simply select USI University Health Center as the location. All healthy individuals age 12 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine, regardless of state of residence. Minors must be accompanied to their appointment by a parent or guardian. The USI Vaccination Clinic is located in the University Health Center, on the lower level of the Health Professions Center. Look for signs directing you to the clinic. Masks or face coverings and a valid driver's license or other photo ID are required for all patients receiving the vaccination, and patients receiving their second dose should bring their vaccination card. New COVID-19 related deaths are reported in Vanderburgh and Daviess counties. Indiana is set to unveil ILEARN results later this week, and officials say the data is a key tool to gauge student learning during the pandemic. But some parents question the value of the test and whether it should really be used to inform policy – especially after last school year. Masks and vaccines will not be required in Evansville Catholic schools this fall. WNIN is the NPR/PBS affiliate in Evansville, Indiana.
