Press release from City of San Ramon: 07/16/2021 The City of San Ramon has transitioned from weekly COVID-19 Update emails to weekly News and Information email updates, which residents can sign up to receive here. 7/16 Update: Today, Contra Costa County, along with the Counties of Alameda, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Sonoma, and the City of Berkeley, issued a press release recommending that everyone, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks indoors in public places as a precaution against increased circulation of COVID-19. Bay Area Health Officers will revisit this recommendation in the coming weeks as they continue to monitor transmission rates, hospitalizations, deaths, and increasing vaccination rates throughout the region. Contra Costa data can be monitored here.  > Read the Full Press Release from Contra Costa Health Services 6/28 Update: As of June 28, 2021, critical eviction protections in California have been extended through September 30, 2021 to help keep California families in their homes. Additionally, the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program now covers 100% of unpaid and future rent and utilities for income-eligible renters and their landlords who have been impacted by the pandemic. Those who have already applied and received payment will receive additional funds to reach 100% compensation. Interested landlords and renters can check eligibility and apply at HousingIsKey.com or by calling 833-430-2122. Applicants may qualify regardless of immigration status and will not be required to show proof of citizenship. All application information is kept private and will not be shared. Assistance from the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program does not count as earned income for renters, and will not interfere with eligibility for any other state benefit assistance programs.  > Read More Dear San Ramon Community, As of Tuesday, June 15, California's tier system is no longer in effect, and COVID-19 capacity and distancing restrictions have been lifted for most businesses and activities in the state. On Thursday, June 17, workplace safety guidelines were updated by Cal/OSHA. Contra Costa Health Services is accepting requests for free mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics to community groups and workplaces of 5 or more eligible people in Contra Costa County.  The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) have released Draft Plan Bay Area 2050, a 30-year plan charting a course for a Bay Area that is affordable, connected, diverse, healthy, and vibrant for all its residents through 2050 and beyond. Draft Plan Bay Area 2050, along with drafts of the Implementation Plan and various supplemental reports, are all available for public review and comment between now and 5 p.m. on July 20, 2021. The City of San Ramon is accepting applications for several Advisory Committee & Board Openings. Children's Participatory Fountains in the city are now open, along with drop-in recreation swim at the San Ramon Olympic Pool and Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center; and drop-in lap swim returns Monday, June 21. Registration is open for the Run San Ramon 5k on Sunday, July 4, and the Summer Concert in the Park series returns in July. Capacity and distancing restrictions have been lifted for most businesses and activities in the state, and the tier system is no longer in effect. The California Department of Public Health's updated mask guidance is in effect as of June 15. On June 17, California's Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (Cal/OSHA) relaxed its workplace-safety rules. Physical distancing is no longer required in the workplace and fully vaccinated employees generally do not have to wear masks on the job anymore. Contra Costa County is aligned with the new state guidelines for employers, which include: Employers may allow fully vaccinated employees not to wear face coverings indoors but must document their vaccination status. Unvaccinated employees still must wear masks indoors except when alone in a room or vehicle or when eating or drinking. No face covering requirements outdoors (except during outbreaks), regardless of vaccination status. Workplaces still would be required to provide masks to workers who are not fully vaccinated for COVID-19. No physical distancing or barrier requirements regardless of employee vaccination status except during workplace outbreaks. Employers are able to implement additional protective measures beyond what is required, including the use of masks and physical distancing. CA COVID-19 Rent & Utility Assistance Applications Simplified Applications for rent and utility assistance through California's COVID-19 Rent Relief program have been simplified: it now takes less time to complete, requires fewer documents to be uploaded, and offers helpful tips throughout the application. Assistance is available for unpaid rent dating back to April 1, 2020, as well as future rent payments. Assistance is also available for past due utility payments dating back to April 1, 2020, or for future utility bills, both of which may be paid directly to the utility provider at 100% of cost but are limited to a total of 12 months. Income-eligible renters and their landlords who have been impacted by COVID-19 and need help with unpaid or upcoming rent or utilities can verify eligibility and apply immediately by visiting HousingIsKey.com, or by calling 833-430-2122. Once your application has been processed, you will be notified about the application status and next steps. For assistance in another language or help checking eligibility, filling out the application or uploading paperwork, schedule an appointment with a local organization by calling 833-687-0967. > Learn More & Apply Mobile COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Available by Request for Groups of 5 or More Businesses and community organizations in Contra Costa can now request visits from Contra Costa Health Services' (CCHS) mobile COVID-19 vaccination van to workplaces, community centers and other locations where five or more members of a group want to receive vaccine. Any business or organization can request a mobile vaccination clinic using an online form if they are in the county, and CCHS will send a mobile health van to provide free vaccinations on site within one week after completing the request.  Clinics operate weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will only travel to locations within the county, though they will vaccinate anyone eligible regardless of where they live.
