Here are the top stories in Sacramento today: Two men have been indicted for allegedly conspiring to blow up the Sacramento Democratic HQ. The FBI announced on Thursday that Ian Rogers, 45 of Napa, and Jarrod Copeland, 37 of Vallejo, had been arrested and indicted for conspiring to attack the headquarters with "incendiary devices." According to the DOJ news release, the John L. Burton Democratic Headquarters in Sacramento was their starting point, with hopes of "starting a movement." (ABC10)Hold on to your catalytic converters, Sacramento. Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies said they arrested 5 suspected catalytic converter thieves within minutes of each other in Sacramento County. All five suspects are now facing charges of grand theft and vehicle tampering. (CBS Sacramento)Sacramento County has identified three "hot spots" with low vaccination rates. Sacramento County Health Officer Dr. Olivia Kasirye is concerned about low vaccination numbers in Citrus Heights, North Highlands and Rio Linda. Sacramento County is also watching the number of hospitalizations due to the virus. That number has recently topped 100 again. (FOX40) One Sacramento woman is advising everyone to do what they can to thwart this COVID virus after identifying herself as a "breakthrough" case. Erica Castillo says she was vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine in May, but contracted the virus on a vacation in San Diego in July. Sacramento health authorities have identified 262 symptomatic breakthrough cases. Because no vaccine is 100% effective, breakthrough cases are expected, so Castillo is urging everyone to get vaccinated so the virus won't have a chance to impact the vulnerable. St John's is opening 11 new modular homes to help house homeless families this summer. "This [program] is the first of its kind in the region," said St John's CEO Julie Hirota. The homes provide shelter for women and children who are currently unhoused, and St John's helps provide structure for building community relationships and to help children to enter school programs. Families can build rental and credit histories, as well. (CBS Sacramento) Today in Sacramento Ever noticed all of the vendor tents along R Street some Saturdays?
