Here are the top stories in Sacramento today: 22-year-old Marcus Trull and 21-year-old Cedric Salcedo were arrested for the Friday night shooting deaths of two people in Old Sacramento. Four others were injured in the incident. The two suspects have been booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide and felony assault charges. (KCRA3) An extremely rare diagnosis left this athlete paralyzed from the T5 vertebrae down. CrossFit has helped him regain some of his strength. Now, against all odds, he will be competing in the CrossFit Games in the Adaptive Division after ranking 3rd in the nation and 5th worldwide. (KCRA3)Elk Grove police are asking for your help after a spate of car burglaries. Police say the burglaries happened near Laguna Boulevard and Elk Grove Boulevard and they are asking anyone with information to call 916-714-5115. (FOX40)Police have released more details in the attack on the Democratic Headquarters in Sacramento. The suspects "were motivated by disappointment in the outcome of the last federal election," according to FBI assistant special agent Jon Blair. Both suspects have been charged with a number of crimes including conspiracy to destroy a building, possessing unregistered weapons and obstruction of records. (FOX40)With the spike in catalytic converter thefts in Sacramento County, Elk Grove police held an "etch and catch" event on Friday. 65 drivers registered to have technicians at Elk Grove Custom Collision Detail Spa etch their license plate number onto their catalytic converter. Thieves who see these markings are much less likely to steal the device according to Rob Martinez, a managing partner at Elk Grove Custom Collision Detail Spa.
