Press release from the City Of Davis: July 16, 2021 8:52 am Work for the City's summer pavement rehabilitation starts in the downtown area the week of July 19 with patching and fixing potholes. Digging and paving start toward the end of the week and extend through the week of July 26 - July 30, 2021. Paving will require road closures along F Street, beginning with the section from First Street to Fourth Street, and then the crew will move on to complete work on F Street from Seventh Street to Eighth Street. The remainder of F Street (Fourth Street to Eighth Street and Eighth Street to Covell Blvd.) will receive a slurry seal treatment next month. In addition, several other downtown streets will be rehabilitated. First Street between A Street and B Street Second Street between E Street and G Street G Street between Third Street and Fifth Street J Street between Third Street and Fifth Street Schedule of upcoming work (subject to change; updates will be made on social media and project web page): Wednesday, July 21: First Street will be closed between A Street and B Street, and Second Street will be closed between E Street and G Street. The contractor will be making repairs along the road ahead of the paving operation. Thursday, July 22: G Street will be closed between Second Street and Fifth Street. The contractor will be making repairs along the road ahead of the paving operation. Friday, July 23: F Street and Fourth Street intersection and F Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street, will be closed for regrading and paving. Week of July 26-30: F Street between First Street and Fourth Street will be closed. Road closures will be scheduled between the hours of 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please be aware of detour signs.
