Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 07/16/2021 On 6/17/2021, the Atlanta Police Department's Special Victims Unit became aware of a social media post depicting maltreatment of a juvenile. SVU investigators began working to identify the location where the activity occurred and to identify the juvenile and all parties involved. Investigators were able to find the incident location and identify the juvenile and he was placed in the care of the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) on the evening of 6/18/2021. Investigators were able to identify three and secure warrants against three individuals for their role in this assault.   19-year-old Lorkeyla Jamia Spencer was charged with Cruelty to Children, 35-year-old Brittney Monique Mills was charged with Cruelty to Children and 18-year-old Jordan Jarrode Richards-Nwankwo was charged with Cruelty to Children and Battery – Family Violence. All are now in custody at the Fulton County Jail.   The behavior in this social media post was difficult to watch and is absolutely unacceptable. We are appreciative of the number of people who flagged this case with us and for those who provided information on the location where it took place.
