Description
Fellow Music Teachers, Myself along with a few other passionate, talented teachers are forming a Music School Co-op! This is a rare and exciting opportunity that will benefit the community and the teachers who are a part of it. Have you been employed by a music store and felt underpaid and under-appreciated, perhaps struggling with less-than-ideal equipment, space and high student turn-over rates? Have you tried starting your own studio but felt the struggle to find students, find the perfect studio space, start-up costs, not to mention having to do all of your own administrative work, deal with taxes and act as a collection agency making your free time disappear? As a private piano instructor for over a decade, I have experienced all of these challenges. In the last year, with an ever-growing waiting list and 50 private students of my own, I decided to reach out to a few close, like-minded music teachers to start a music school. By combining my passion for music education with my love for the ideals of my local food co-op, I came up with the idea of a Music School Co-op! I have a few teachers in place ready to start, a beautiful space in Elm Grove to open the school, and an already well-established local marketing, social media and circle of families interested in piano (and other instrument!) lessons. If this idea intrigues you, please reach out for more information. I'd love to organize an informational call about this prospect. I'm so excited to meet other musicians and collaborate on this worthwhile project! So if you are: - A Music Major in college or recent graduate - A Music Teacher just getting started - A Music Teacher who has been teaching through a store or studio - An Established Studio Owner looking to collaborate - A Private Instrument Instructor skilled at Piano, Voice, Guitar, Bass, String Instruments, Wind Instruments, Brass Instruments, Percussion, Art, Dance/Movement, Classroom or Early Elementary Music, or Other Instrument ...please reach out! Christina, a local music studio owner
