I was playing guitar in a dark folk-Americana band with rescheduled gigs from 2020 and 2021 but it recently broke up. I want to get back into something in that style. I'm primarily a drummer but I want to split my time with guitar and I can bang out a keys part when needed.
I'm seeking lead singers and instrumentalists of all sorts with a preference toward those who can double on another instrument or sing harmonies. Let's get together a core of drums, bass, guitar, keys and consider mandolin, banjo, synths, accordion… I have a practice space in Allston with my drum kit, piano, organ, synths, and amps.
Some artists relevant to the sounds I'm thinking of: Jessica Lea Mayfield, Margo Price, Chelsea Wolfe, Nick Cave, Lera Lynn, Squirrel Flower, Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty… (obvious preference for female voices)
