Description
I need a handyman this week for a small but important job that should not cost much or take long. However, if this works out well, I have many other home-fix/improvement projects that need to get done. Let’s establish a strong working relationship that will last for months and years to come.
I have a shower that needs to be caulked to prevent water leaks and we need to replace the small section of damaged wood just outside of the shower. That wood has been damaged from the water leak.
* The wood molding (about 1-2 inches x 6-10 inches) needs to be replaced with PVC, so that if water does leak out of the shower again, that molding doesn't rot and I don't have to replace it.
* The drywall above that molding (6-12 inches above it by 6-10 inches long) also needs to be cut out and replaced, since it has been damaged as well.
* There's also a strip of molding along the shower that needs to be replaced.
Finally, paint the three pieces -- PVC molding, drywall above the molding, and drip of molding along the shower -- with a semi-gloss, water-resistant paint.
$200 labor, not including caulk, PVC, drywall, and paint.
See attached pics.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
