Buddy is a typical loving Golden, but he had a rough puppyhood. He wandered into my daughter's yard six months ago and it wasn't long before they realized he didn't feel good. They took him to the vet and found out he had severe ear infection (bacterial and yeast) in both ears. While they posted found dog posters, and waited for the owner to respond, they fell in love with him. He wasn't neutered or microchipped so he must have come from a breeder. The owner never came forward and they've had him ever since. Here's the problem. They are now caring for my Mother full-time and she has ALZ. Two days ago, my mom almost tripped over him and that woke him from a deep sleep. When he's woken up suddenly he lashes out, and he bit her arm. He also doesn't like having bones or toys taken away, but will "drop it" when you tell him to, which my mom can't manage. Because of this he can't go to a home with small children or anyone who can't continue his training. My daughter has spent a good amount on vet bills, shots, neutering, microchip and grooming, so we are asking for a rehoming fee of $250. Serious inquiries only. You must have a yard with a fence. Buddy is house trained completely and uses a doggie door, but I don't know about crate trained (we don't use crates). Photo #2 and #3 show him with his fur groomed down for summer.
