APPLY here: View ALL our openings: The Cleaning Attendant will maintain various facility buildings by performing a variety of janitorial duties, including but not limited to, dusting furniture, washing windows, sweeping, mopping and waxing floors, replenishing restroom supplies, and replacing light bulbs. Ensure building accessibility and professional appearance at all times by picking up trash, removing ice and snow from walkways, and keeping all walk areas free of safety hazards and debris. Responsible for the safe operation of a variety of cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and tile grout cleaning machines. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager. * One year of janitorial, cleaning, or maintenance experience preferred. * Knowledge of various types of chemicals, carpet cleaners, floor finishes, acids, chemical mixing, and hazardous materials handling is preferred. * Knowledge of various machines, including buffers, scrubbers, vacuum filter systems, and power snakes is preferred. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals required. * Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Must be able to communicate with a two-way radio. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The company operates out of several buildings spread across a multi-acre campus. Ability to travel between buildings as necessary.
