Description
7.5 mo old, male, neutered, microchipped, UTD on all shots, 8.5 lb mini doxie/terrier needs a new forever home. Echo is currently in a home with a 35lb dog (see pic), 3 cats, and an 8 yo and has no issues. Being part doxie, he does like to bark at my neighbors dogs thru our fence but over time, he (& big bro) have gotten a lot better about just a bark or 2 before they stop. I prefer he go to a home with a secure fence as he likes to escape under, again, being a doxie. I fixed my problem by attaching chicken wire to bottom of my wooden privacy fence and I dont leave him unattended very long. Full disclosure, he is a very needy 🐕, as is his big bro. He will insist on being able to see or sit on, or sleep on his humans. He is a very vocal dog and will loudly whine or bark to get your full attention. He has never met a dog toy that he cannot destroy and remove the stuffing. He doesn't like to share any toys and will steal them from big bro and guard them. lol He is crate trained, (though he does prefer to sleep under the covers, by his humans feet if allowed), he knows how to sit for a "toothbrush" (his greenies) and is house trained. he will bark and/or bug the crap out of you to go outside. Accidents only happen when I ignore his signals. He is not food aggressive. He does still like to jump up on people legs but we've been working on that. We've also been working hard on the dont bark when people knock on the door. Its still a work in progress, but has improved. Since he is 1/2 doxie, he is a genius of course and has the body/front legs of a doxie, so I try not to let him jump off things. He does well on a leash and in the car. His ideal new home would be one where his human is home most of the day and one that devote lots of energy on him, as he is used to me being home literally 24/7. Someone with a house/duplex would be best as that is what he is used to. Message me for rehoming fee and any questioms you may have. Vet references and a meet & greet at my home will be required.
