Description
I have a dog named Nubs who is 9 years old who belongs to my mother. I cannot keep him long-term, as my children give him intenser anxiety and I am allergic.
Originally, my widowed mother was moving to Virginia with my sister, her husband and my nephew and they were going to buy a house a few months after at which point she’d take him back to Virginia, but my sister filed for separation once my mom moved and now I have had the dog for 4 months, however, I am not able to keep him.
My sister is likely to move now to Idaho, and my mom will likely move back to California at some point, but the time frame is unknown. She is unable to live with me, so she is basically waiting to see what happens with my sister and spending as much time as she can with my nephew before things changed. It’s also possible my sister may not move to Idaho and they will stay in Virginia and get a new apartment where they can have the dog, but we likely won't know next steps for another 3 months.
Long story short, my mom and I are looking to try find a home that can foster our dog for 3 to 6 months.
Nubs is a sweet, gentle and very low maintenance dog. He is a lap dog who always wants to be by your side. He primarily eats and sleeps all day. He is not high energy (i.e. he does not like to play catch or chase). He'd rather just sit on your lap as you watch TV. He weighs maybe 6 lbs, possibly less.
FYI, he sleeps in a crate. He is pad trained. He has all his shots up to date.
