As a member of this team, you will: Be responsible for assisting customers promptly and efficiently Load, unload and move materials – performing any combination of the following: Read work orders and purchase orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials to be moved Operation of a forklift to move materials, or move materials by hand Use delivery tracking system to track progress and status of work orders Opening of containers/deliveries using cutters and other hand tools Loading of materials into vehicles (customer and delivery), using appropriate strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit Responsible for receipts of vendor product – ensuring it is the correct product and in good condition. Maintain product identification tags where applicable or mark information on containers. Responsible for inventory control through proper handling procedures of materials – including maintenance of stacks and racks, reporting and disposing of damages, communicating stock levels and customer requests to immediate supervisor. Maintain machinery, equipment and yard area, including the clean-up of loose materials, such as sand, gravel, metal bands, plastics, etc. Must be able to lift at least 80 lbs. without assistance. Must be capable of standing, bending, kneeling and lifting for up to eight hours a day Positions available in Orleans, Falmouth, Wellfleet, South Dennis and Middleboro
