Looking for a bassist, a guitarist and/or a vocalist for a modern punk band. Musically, the songs are turning out with thick doses of Bad Religion, Rise Against, Red City Radio, Strung Out, and all that good stuff. We have about a half-dozen songs together already that I can send over if you're interested. Big distorted guitars played half a step down for some power, some cool melodic lead work without it being math, some thunder on the bass and driving rhythm are the idea, in the 120-180bpm range. Vocalists, this would probably suit a gruff style. Guitarists, let's share the load on lead and rhythm. Bassists, you're awesome. People don't say that enough.
Myself (guitar) and a drummer are looking to start getting together after August in the Astoria area for practice. This is mainly to play some fun music and a few shows, we're both in our mid-thirties with jobs and families (punk's not dead, it's dad!) so touring and the rest isn't really the priority. Mainly just making some cool punk tunes with good people, possibly a record, playing a bit and hanging out.
