“Hosted by KAPN, a nonprofit in the Dallas area, we invite you to join us for the 13th annual Youth Empowerment Seminar (YES)!
Connecting Asian American youth (grades 6 to 12) in the DFW area since 2009, YES is a great way to have fun, explore your potential, and Refresh!
The 13th annual Youth Empowerment Seminar is here: and after a long pandemic, we’ve agreed that if anything, what we need is a Refresh.
So join us on August 21 from 9 to 3 for a day packed with guest speakers (including a college counselor formerly at St. Mark’s), exciting activities and icebreakers, and multiple raffles with some pretty cool prizes, if we do say so ourselves.
Want to help?
If you’re in need of some volunteer hours, and you (or your ride) is cool with arriving at 8 AM or staying until 4, volunteers are always welcome to help with set up and break down. Learn more about volunteer opportunities here:
We’ve committed to delivering quality seminars since 2009, and want to make sure that you have the best time too. As a nonprofit, KAPN is able to host its seminars because of our considerate donors and sponsors. Over the pandemic year, a lot of things have changed and shifted. If you’d like to make a donation to support the continuation of Youth Empowerment Seminars, how could we say no? Learn more here: https://gofund.me/24372dde
Notes:
Check-in on the day of the seminar begins at 8:30 AM.
The event is open to 6th-12th graders.
A light breakfast spread and lunch will be provided.
