Town of Colchester – Parks Maintenance I, Department of Parks and Recreation Starting pay rate is $21.16 per hour with a competitive benefits package The Town of Colchester is seeking a go-getter to join its parks maintenance team. Successful applicants will have experience in park maintenance, landscaping and snow plowing. • Mowing, trimming, pruning, leaf removal and chain saw duties • Repair and maintenance to recreational facilities and fields • General cleaning of restrooms, trash removal and litter control • Snow removal of lots and walks • Operation of light equipment and hand tools • Operates variety of mowing equipment, tractor, light duty trucks, 1-ton plow truck, etc. • Works outdoors in all weather conditions • Some evening, weekend and holiday hours required to assist with special events Must have considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions needed to operate assigned equipment and perform assigned duties.
