Can someone install the reverse/ forward cable in my 2011 Kawasaki

Hello, does anyone out there know how to install the forward/reverse cable on my Kawasaki 2011 300XL jetski? I am in the Navy and being mobilized to Africa in a week and this is my only chance to get some time on the water in my hometown before I go. Should be an easy job for the right expert as I bought a replacement cable and the jetski is all opened up - ready for it to be installed, we just can't seem to figure out how? Thanks in advance!
