Free screening: "Raiders of the Lost Ark" Part of our 80th-season celebration! Join us for a FREE screening of the classic film “Raiders of the Lost Ark” to celebrate the 1980s as part of our special 80th-season schedule! (From IMDB): The year is 1936. An archeology professor named Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is venturing in the jungles of South America searching for a golden statue. Unfortunately, he sets off a deadly trap but miraculously escapes. Then, Jones hears from a museum curator named Marcus Brody (Denholm Elliott) about a biblical artifact called The Ark of the Covenant, which can hold the key to humanly existence. Jones has to venture to vast places such as Nepal and Egypt to find this artifact. However, he will have to fight his enemy Rene Belloq (Paul Freeman) and a band of Nazis in order to reach it. Our 2021-22 season features movies and live entertainment each month celebrating our eight decades in operation! A full bar will be available for those 21 and older with proper ID. All ages are welcome to attend. Running time: 1 hour, 55 minutes Rated PG (for mild violence) The historic State Theatre hosts a variety of entertainment and educational programs including comedy shows, film festivals and concerts. The non-profit State Theatre Preservation Society's goal is to restore the circa 1940 art deco theatre and preserve it for the future use of the community of Logansport, Indiana.
