Join fellow permies and gardeners for a permablitz at They Keep Bees in Montague in the pollinator gardens!
Activity: We'll do a walking tour of the farm at 10am to provide a brief understanding of the land and its current usage. We'll mostly be focused on removing and cutting back invasives, and mulching a hillside to help reduce the vine pressure on our chinese chestnut trees.
Accessibility: There is one step into our house to reach an indoor bathroom available for masked participants but people are also welcome to use the woods if comfortable. Screened porch with 1 step for refilling water bottles and getting some shade and taking a break.
What to Bring:
- Work gloves, pruners, clippers, spades and any other tools you use to tackle bittersweet vines, shovels - if you have them!
-Bring your own food and water and/or snacks to share with others (we will have a snack table)
Children and well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome! We have an indoor bathroom (please wear a mask to use), electricity, and running water on site.
