Gather with us as we familiarize you with the technique for delicious, home-made limoncello! And…have fun! Can’t wait to see you there! Learn about limoncello making – and Italy! This is a hands-on class which requires use of a paring knife to prepare lemons for steeping in alcohol. Share a limoncello cocktail and dessert with friends and new acquaintances. In class, we will meet Sara Pistolesi and David Farrell of IA Native Spirits in Ames, who make the only authentic Italian limoncello in Iowa. They will introduce us to their authentic Italian limoncello with a handmade cocktail, while sharing their knowledge of limoncello and love of Italy. We will also sample a decadent limoncello dessert presented by another IACC friend and lover of all things Italian and limoncello. How wonderful will that be? Don’t miss this fun, informative class. In addition to our educational museum, the Center offers a variety of opportunities for individuals as well as groups to take part in programs and events at the Center. Classes in language, cooking and folk dancing are offered on a regular basis. Italian travel and cooking videos are shown as well as Italian movies. Group tours are encouraged.
