Dellavalle Laboratory is an agricultural and environmental consulting lab. We are seeking help for a seasonal/part time position in the Bakersfield area. The desired employee must have a strong work ethic and ability to follow directions while working independently. Training will be provided to perform all necessary duties and proper use of tools and equipment. DUTIES: · Collect irrigation data from a variety of crops grown in Kern County · Collect plant, soil, and water samples for laboratory analysis REQUIREMENTS: · DRIVING REQUIRED POSITION · Ability to follow instructions and work independently · Good sense of direction and ability to read maps · Ability to communicate effectively with clients and supervisors · Must enjoy working and walking outdoors · Access to a personal pick-up truck is preferred. Reimbursement for mileage is included in the compensation package. HOURS: From March through October, routine sampling routes provide 25-30 hours per week (Monday – Thursday mornings).
