Join us in commemorating the strength of character and physical endurance carried by pioneers who trekked across the nation on July 24, 1847 To celebrate, we will host festivities on the grounds of our church building. We encourage all to attend and encourage you to invite friends, family, and others!__________ We ask that you RSVP in a timely manner so we can plan the food accordingly. Be ready for some fun!! 😀__________ LOCATION & DETAILSWe ask that you follow the signs and park in the NORTH PARKING LOT of the church building. The BBQ and other festivities will take place on the back patio. Afterward, Horse Rides and the Parade will take place in the SOUTH PARKING LOT after the barbecue and other celebrations. Please remember to drive slowly and respect the neighbors who live near the building. __________ ITINERARY5:00 PM - 6:00 PM BBQ & Dutch-oven Cooking | All food & cutlery provided!Picnic Fun | Tables & chairs are available! You're also welcome to bring blankets or beach/camp chairs to enjoy your meal with your family and friends~6:00-7:30/8 PM Family-friendly Parade | We encourage adults and kids of all ages to decorate a mode of transportation (bike, scooter, wagon, rollerblades, etc.)Horse Rides | Witness the beauty of the Rocky Mountain steed__________ ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONPioneer Dress is Encouraged | Commemorate those trekked across the plains in 1947 attire (bonnets, cowboy hats, boots, etc.)Games & Festivities | There will be games and activities hosted for children of all ages __________ ABOUT PIONEER DAY - JULY 24, 1847Thousands of pioneers carried a firm commitment to America’s belief in freedom of religion as they slowly trudged across the plains to a vast desert landscape that became known as the Utah Territory. Coming together from many nations, they sought to create a new life. This trek of the early pioneers exemplifies the courage, foresight, and faith that continue to inspire modern-day pioneers. By remembering those remarkable 1847 pioneers and all those who followed, we can recognize how we too can overcome challenges in our own lives!
