Flooring Restaining Job

Hi, I'm trying to do two jobs in my house. Remove carpet from stairs (landing optional). Stairs have pine underneath already and am hoping to finish and stain it. 2nd is that I have a spiral staircase which is some type of engineered material, and I also want to stain it the same color as the floor.
