School Bus With 18 Children Aboard Crashes In Reading

READING, MA — Police are investigating after a school bus with 18 children aboard crashed into a car near a local intersection. Chief David Clark said officers responded to the crash in the area of Charles and Wakefield streets around 4 p.m. The school bus was leaving Camp Rice Moody. Two children were injured and treated at the scene, while the female driver was brought to the hospitality injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Parents picked their children up at the J.W. Killam Elementary School. Upon arrival, Reading Police officers learned that a bus and motor vehicle had collided in the area of Charles and Wakefield Street. (Photo courtesy Reading Police Department)
