This is the follow up hands on portion to the Beekeeping 201 class.
*Before registering for this in person portion, please go through the Beekeeping 201 class prior to taking this class.*In this class you will get to see many of the things mentioned in the 201 class and more.
You will:
Learn how to light a smoker; choose the proper PPE for youGo through a routine hive inspectionDo a varroa shake and moreYou will need to sign a waiver at the start of the class. We will have jackets and veils available to those without, but if you have your own PPE we encourage you to bring it.
We will be following CDC guidelines, so masks and social distancing will be observed.
*Every attendee must purchase a ticket since we are limited on the number of people we can have attend. Plus participants who fill out the post-test survey will receive some beekeeper tools and gear.
