Looking for a hard working individual to join our grooming team! The Modern Pup is a small, newish(just had our 2nd anniversary!) grooming salon in Redding that is growing fast and needs to add a dog bather to the team. Duties include: •Bathing/Drying all dog breeds and sizes. •Ear plucking/cleaning, nail trimming/filing, gland expression, brushing/combing •Cleaning - vacuuming; sweeping; moping; disinfecting tubs, drying benches, kennels; taking out trash; etc •Answering phone calls/making appointments through our software. •Using Square Point of Sale Experience is not required, but a plus. If hired, we will train you. Will start off as part-time with 10-29 hrs a week, with the potential to become full time for the right individual. If truly motivated, the opportunity of becoming a groomer will become available at a future date. Starting rate of $15 per hour + a percentage of the tips, that can increase over time. Requirements: •Must be at least 18 years of age •Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs on a regular/daily basis •Must have reliable transportation •Must be punctual •Must be friendly- will interact with public(i.e dog owners) •Must have open availability including weekends, and be able to work holiday seasons •Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, wet, loud environment •Last, but definitely not least- Must love dogs!
