Press release from Shreve Memorial Library: July 16, 2021 Shreve Memorial Library and Grow with Google is offering an opportunity to learn how to become more efficient in business, by learning to create documents and spreadsheets with Google Docs, a free Web-based application. On Thursday, July 22, the public is invited to attend a FREE virtual workshop from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participation in the virtual workshop is free and open to the public, and registration is required. During the virtual workshop participants will learn how to create documents and spreadsheets using the Google Docs application. In addition, attendees will learn how to import, export, edit and update documents and spreadsheets in various fonts and file formats. They will also learn how to combine text with formulas, lists, tables and images, share documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms and drawings, and how to upload Microsoft Office files directly into Docs, or downloads Docs files in Microsoft Office formats. A demonstration of how to collaborate, while multiple users edit and format files in real-time will also take place during the work shop.  Everyone is encouraged to join this virtual event to learn about Google Docs and Google Sheets and how they can revolutionize how you create and save documents. The Grow with Google Partner Program has joined with libraries all over the country to make sure libraries, nonprofits, and their communities have access to free tools, content and programs to meet the evolving needs of jobseekers, students and small businesses.
