OSWEGO, IL — Adam D. Lester, who has previously worked as a data coach, instructional specialist and learning facilitator, has been approved by the District 308 Board of Education as the new assistant principal at Bednarcik Junior High School.
"As an assistant principal, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to support the students, staff, and community of Bednarcik while empowering our students to own their learning and follow their passions," Lester said in a statement.
Most recently, Lester worked as an instructional coach at Batavia High School where he served multiple roles.
Lester taught a total of 28 English classes at three different high schools throughout his career. He also spent 8 years as an English department teacher leader and 2 as a certified evaluator in the Danielson Framework for Teacher Evaluations.
"Mr. Lester has extensive experience as an instructional coach and secondary English teacher," Shannon Lueders, director of junior high education, said in a statement. "These experiences make him an excellent addition to the Bednarcik leadership team."
He graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor of arts in English and has a master of arts in educational leadership and principal preparation from Aurora University.
