HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman had more than $3 million in 2022 U.S. Senate campaign coffers at the end of June, according to a Federal Elections Commission filing. That amount gives him a significant financial edge over his competitors for the Democratic Senate nomination.
Montgomery County Commissioner Valerie Arkoosh, who entered the race several months after Fetterman, reported having $632,000 on hand as of June 30. State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta of Philadelphia reported $217,000.
On the Republican side, Fox News contributor and author Sean Parnell reported $597,000 on hand, while conservative commentator Kathy Barnettehad $476,000.
Montgomery County real estate investor Jeff Bartos's second quarter campaign filing, which was due Thursday, was not yet in the FEC database on Friday. He had $1.1 million at the end of the first quarter.
The candidates are vying to succeed Republican Sen. Pat Toomey, who is retiring at the end 2022 when his current term ends.
