WARRINGTON, PA — Tech giant Amazon is expected to open its first grocery store in Bucks County this summer.
The company is opening the store at the former Giant on Easton Road in the Creekview Center, near Target and Lowe's.
Amazon opened its first "Fresh" grocery store in Los Angeles, California, in September and has since added 10 more locations across the U.S., including throughout Southern California and several suburbs of Chicago.
An Amazon spokesperson declined to say when they planned to open the store when reached by email Friday.
Unlike Amazon-owned Whole Foods, Fresh stores are geared more toward the middle-income customer and include a dedicated area for shoppers to pick up and return Prime packages.
