Press release from City of Berkeley: July 9, 2021 Berkeley, California - On July 9, 2021 at about 7:00 am, members of our Special Response Team (SRT), trained negotiators and officers from our Detectives Bureau responded to the 2700 block of Acton Street to serve a high-risk search and arrest warrant related to gun violence in Berkeley. Our Detectives Bureau spent numerous hours on this investigation and knew the suspect was potentially armed and dangerous.
