As this is a startup, the role will evolve over time. In the beginning, we expect the role to be more office based with supporting some office duties and answering incoming customer inquiries. This position will also go out and perform job estimates and perform minor onsite repairs. As this role will help shape the platform moving forward and will interact directly with customers, they will have to have a can-do attitude and exceptional communication skills. Any candidate will also be expected to be familiar with technology to the degree of using a smart phone, online apps, MS Excel and MS Word. Job Responsibilities • Interact with customers both in the home and by phone • Perform at home evaluation, scope project to fit customer needs, and provide estimate • Provide own tools for minor repairs • Purchase necessary installation materials using a corporate account card • Take steps to protect the surrounding area from damage and dust • Perform minor installations such as: installing grab bars, making walking paths navigable and safe, replacing minor lighting and plumbing fixtures, installing modular ramps • Enters information in an app, sends digital invoices, updates customer information • Communicates with customer to determine level of satisfaction and request a review Job Skills • Technical Ability • Background in construction or property maintenance • Problem Solving/Analysis • Customer Service/ Communication Skills • Self-directed and Dependable • Basic math competence to calculate job pricing when additional work is required Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee will also use a variety of electric powered and hand-held tools. Employee will frequently work from ladders, work benches, and scaffolding. Employees will load supplies into a panel type truck and drive to customer’s locations. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. May include occasional weekend days. Travel: This role will have daily short-distance travel to customers locations. This role requires having a reliable vehicle. Our policy covers mileage reimbursement for jobs outside a certain travel radius. Required Experience: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • 3-5 years minimum experience in general construction or maintenance and repair • Must have clean driving record • Valid driver’s license Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Will require National Criminal Background check, sex offender check, and drug screening We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
