OK this is our second ad. Last time I got around 8 or 9 responses with most people deciding to pass. I’ve got two who are interested and I need two more before we schedule an audition. To help out, I’ll let you know up front that we are not a cover band. Therefore, if you are looking for paid gigs then this would not be for you. Nor are we seeking a record deal, we play for fun. The Vaquitos are looking for a bass player. A gig may be your audition! We are a blues based pop rock band influenced by The Stones, Cheap Trick, Social D, and 70s one-hit wonders. We are in our 40s and 50s and are not trying to get a record deal. We just love to play live music at cool gigs. No drama or egos. Most of us live in North County, but we rehearse at SD Rock in San Diego. We're looking for for someone who plays simple and knows how to rock. New to live music? Fantastic, come play with us.
