Del Paso Country Club is one of the longest standing and recognized private clubs in California and celebrated its centennial last year. The Club has been the home of five USGA Championships over its history. The property is a robust and active environment with many opportunities and challenges. The Club is seeking a full time janitor who takes pride in their work and works well with other team members. JOB DESCRIPTION As a Clubhouse Janitor for Del Paso Country Club, you will be required to take care of the facilities and carry out cleaning and light maintenance duties. The schedule for this position is typically 9:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. including weekends and holidays. - Polishing, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, shampooing, and mopping - Emptying trash and recycling receptacles - Cleaning windows and walls - Maintenance and cleaning of restrooms - Maintain a clean and safe environment - Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor - Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred; - Must be dependable and have at least one year of janitorial, building maintenance or related experience; - Able to work independently and as part of a team; - Able to work in a safe and efficient manner, with attention to detail; - Knowledge of specialized equipment used in janitorial services; - Able to communicate effectively; to present information and respond to questions from the department manager and others; and to escalate matters appropriately; - Adaptable to changing work priorities and schedule; - Able to demonstrate organizational, problem solving and common sense skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: - Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, stooping - Lifting boxes or equipment (up to 50 pounds) with or without assistance - Grasping objects such as spray bottles, brushes, duster, towels, bins - Climbing stairs/standing on platforms (ladders, step stools, rolling stairs) COMPENSATION: Compensation based on experience.
