Gallery Internship Salomon Arts Gallery Salomon Arts Gallery seeks an intern to assist with general administrative tasks and everyday operations. The internship will offer first hand experience to the inner workings of a contemporary art gallery. The ideal candidate will have had some experience in a gallery, auction house, museum environment or data entry and computer tasks, but anyone who is responsible, professional and interested in art will be considered. Responsibilities Candidates should have or be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in art, art history or a related field. Applicants must have outstanding communication, organization and computer skills. Responsibilities will include welcoming visitors to the gallery, answering questions in person and on the phone, updating the gallery archives and database, maintaining social media presence and other administrative duties as necessary. Availability The Gallery’s hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 1pm to 6pm. Interns must be willing to commit two days weekly for a three to six month period. Gallery Internship is open to any undergraduate or graduate students who are interested in art, reliable and professional. Start date: TBD. Please submit resume and cover letter for consideration.
